Our third day
Day 3 : Monday November 1
Up and out at 8.10 am .Took the subway downtown to Battery Park for a meeting at Ground Zero . I personally think the WTC Tribute Center on Liberty Street is a very worth while tour- the tours are conducted by volunteers, most of them had a personal involvement with the events of 9/11. Our guide Miss Ann Vanhinne who lived 5 blocks from the North Tower , was also personally affected by 9/11 .Most of her lost more than one person they knew. She was telling about her husband Bruce. He was a fireman died in tower one. Cannot believe it will be 10 years. It seems like yesterday . Afterwards , we had another appointment at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York .The bank's catacombs are stuffed with about $180 billion in gold bars - more yellow metal than is stowed in Fort Knox. As soon as the tour is over, guests are given us a free little bag of shredded bills. It's a funny souvenir. Ps : no camera's or bags into the bank.Than walk over the Highline . Very recommend . Walk to Time Square. Took the subway uptown 116st.
